La Crosse Technology WS-9730U-IT is an inexpensive starter weather station that gives humidity, which others don’t give. You do need to understand that batteries and following instructions is key to making it work for many years.
We vacationed in Florida, and my sister-in-law had this weather station in her home. My husband thought it was fun! I ordered it for him for his birthday. We were amazed at how accurate it is! I check it against Weather Bug and The Weather Channel. It’s always within a degree.
This weather station works very well with only batteries needed for weather station and wireless sensor. Sensor is working very well and relaying outdoor temperature very well, seems to be very accurate.
The weather girl icon is cute and helps to show how to dress for the day. Calendar and sunrise are nice too. It’s a compact worthy desktop addition.
I bought this for my sis because she is always asking if it’s cold out. She loves the little bikini girl that dresses for the weather. However, this was created for people that live in cooler climates. Here in Arizona the bikini girl will almost always be in a bikini.
WS-9730U-IT is a super affordable weather forecaster, dominated by the weather in the form of 15 various forecast icons that are based on temperature and air pressure to suggest what kind of weather to expect and what to wear.
The only reason for 4 vs. 5 stars is because the prediction of rainy weather based on the sensor information has not proven accurate, but it’s a prediction as I understand. We have it mainly for showing indoor and outdoor temperature so we can determine what is best to wear.
